Creating Student Ownership with Google Fusion Tables

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Help your students feel a sense of ownership in their learning as they use Google Spreadsheets and Fusion Tables to collect, analyze, and communicate data. Rather than simply interpreting graphs created by others, your students will arrive at a deeper understanding of the data by being involved with all stages of graph creation and analysis. This particular project focuses on quality of life statistics for various countries, but the strategies could easily be applied to any content area that analyzes data. Recommended for grades 5 and up, with more scaffolding needed at the lower grades.
