New Common Core standards require that most teachers transform the way they teach, and this workshop helps you take some initial steps in the right direction using GoogleDrawings! The session presenters have been teaching 5th grade in a 1:1 computing environment for the past five years. In that time, they have witnessed amazing growth for diverse groups of students; specifically, in the area of mathematics. In addition, you will begin considering/utilizing the the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practice. This workshop shares a variety of methods, strategies, and ideas that have made a difference across the entire curriculum. Finally, participants are provided with a range of resources related to the implementation of 21st Century Skills.
